August 2020 Show Recap:

The Rocky Mountain Gift Show is Safety First
The August Rocky Mountain Gift and Denver Apparel & Accessory Market, held August 28-30 kept the health and safety of all in attendance whether that be buyers or exhibitors in the forefront of planning.  Over-all the experience was well received by all in attendance. While the footprint of the event was based on the normal business model for the Denver Mart, and not that of a traditional trade show floor plan, buyers found and explored 4 floors of exhibitors, representing 906 lines and were able to experience new lines presented for the first time at the Denver Mart during the weekend.

New Products:
Buyer’s Choice Award Winner: Swee & CO M1419 for the Woodland plush by MON AMI.  A new super soft plush collection, sparking the imagination with whimsical designs.  Three generations of the Swee family have had a showroom at the Denver Mart for the past 43 years.

Runners up:
Elsewhere Candle Company a new and first-time exhibitor to the trade industry with a candle product that utilizes all the natural flora and vegetation of the National Parks around the country and distills them into a single hand-poured candle.  Our favorite was none other than their Rocky Mountain candle.

Terry Moore & Assoc. M1122 introduced Madd Capp and award-winning manufacture of animal shaped puzzles. This category has been in high demand this year.

Summer Markets:
While summer markets can vary in size and Covid19 has impacted everyone’s concern for safety and the welfare for all, the Rocky Mountain Gift Show was a welcomed surprise to all.  Exhibitors were steady writing orders as buyers were placing orders, all the while social distancing was adhered to.  We welcomed 6 Mask Sponsors, Cinch; Corral; Myra Bag; Mount Inspiration; Liverpool Los Angeles and SSA Group.  “With the addition of Temperature checks at our entrance, mask sponsorships and a simplified business model, we aimed to create a place for all to safely and efficiently conduct business” said Misty Flachman, GM of Denver Mart Trade Shows.

Buyers enjoyed Free Lunches, Swag bags for 6 lucky winners from NE, CO, MT, KS, and the energy of commerce was alive and well.  The Denver Mart hopes that this was the start of a new beginning, after a long hot summer in Denver CO.
